Logan's last PROM 2009

Logan had his last Prom on Saturday and I think it turned out pretty well for him. He was able to drive a fancy car, take a very pretty girl, eat his favorite meal and have his pictures taken more than he wanted. We had the dinner at my Mom and Dad's in one of their out buildings behind their house. The meal was Logan's very favorite: Roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, beans, corn, salad, rolls and cheesecake for dessert. The couples were able to have a good meal and visit without being rushed out of the restaraunt. They all seemed to enjoy the food, atmosphere, and company. It was a great night for all!

Is it Winter, or is it spring!

On the morning of April 16, this is what we woke up to. We actually had a foot of snow on the ground. It was literally breathtaking and also very frustrating. Is it winter or is it spring? It's not even the February Fake, but the April Awakening! I shoveled and it was seriously the heaviest, wettest snow I had ever seen. My back was toast by the time I was done. But lucky for us the snow melted quickly and we were able to play ball on Saturday.

Say cheese!!
"Please don't take my picture!" But happy about the basket.
Easton and his Easter basket. He was so excited for the Easter Bunny. He wanted me to make sure and take his picture so he would know what he looked like. I told him the Easter bunny doesn't like his picture taken, but he wanted me to ask anyway!
Going through the stash!
Finding his and everyone else's basket!

Moab Jeepin'

Boomer has wanted to go to Moab and test out his jeep since we got it almost 3 years ago. He finally got his chance. He and quite a few other jeepers, had a blast this past weekend. Boomer didn't know that he was capable of going up the trails that he did. Logan even drove, much to my dismay, but he did great and had an awesome time! What is it about "Boys and their toys!" I was glad that he went with a group of experienced jeepers, because it isn't smart to go alone. He learned alot and was grateful for their knowledge of what to do and what not to do. He was the only one that didn't breakdown, which I was grateful for. It was a good chance for the guys to be together and do what my guys do best.....play hard!

The group!

Logan is driving....yikes!

How Boomer washes his hair!

The other night as we were having our every night ritual, I went in to check on Easton in the tub. He hadn't washed his hair yet, after being in the tub for over 1/2 hour. I told him I would help him wash his hair so that he could get out and get his pajama's on. With such focus and in deep thought, Easton asks me "How does Dad wash his hair? I think he just has to scratch his head!" So classic, so Easton!

Logan's "18" Birthday

It's hard for me to believe that my boy is 18. It seems like only yesterday that he was born. My 9 lb 12 oz son has brought such joy into our lives. I am so proud of the man he has become and the choices that he continues to make in his life. He strives to do what he knows is right, and treats others with continued respect. I am proud of his accomplishments and know deep in my heart that he will be an amazing missionary, husband and father. I look forward to watching him progress throughout his life and to continue to make his parents and family proud. Logan we love you and are so proud of who you are!
My eighteen year old!
Opening presents!
His friends made him a cake!
Priesthood was on Logan's birthday. He chose to go to priesthood with his brother, dad, and grandpa! They always go to dinner before and ice cream after. It's tradition!
He did however, go snow boarding all day with his buddies. He said that it was the best snow day of the year, as he was boarding in waist deep powder!
