Halloween 2012

Halloween is such a fun holiday tradition for kids.  I have tried to make it a tradition for the rest of us by having dinner and watching a Halloween movie together.  This year we watched "Goonies", such a fun movie.  This year was Wyatt's first Halloween and he was great about wearing his "Giraffe" costume.  He made a darling giraffe and I have to say made Halloween such fun this year.
Giraffe Wyatt and his Papa
Uncle Logan loves giving Wyatt squeezes and loves
Wyatt and mom Shea.  I think this was the point when he'd had enough of the costume and enough of the pictures.
Gege and Pop shared Halloween with us.
Easton and Andrew Sobatka before they went trick or treating.  After we took this picture, we decided that Easton should have dressed up like the "Secret Service"
The trick or treaters waiting for the Dad's.  Boomer and our neighbor Alan Taylor have taken the kids trick or treating together for as long as these kids could trick or treat.  Fun to have great friends and neighbors to go with.  Happy Halloween!

Annual Legacy Halloween Parade

Legacy Elementary's Halloween Parade has been a tradition since Shea attended Legacy, which was a really long time ago.....It is always fun to see all the creative costumes and to see the kids that we know all dressed up for Halloween.  This year Easton decided to be one on the "Men In Black".  Thought he wore his costume well.  He did say however, that recess was a real drag.  Luckily, his friend Andrew Sobatka's costume required him to wear a suit as well.....he was Mitt Romney.
Here are some really cute 4th grade costumes...
Jaxon made an awesome nerd.  He's in 6th grade this year, and this will be his last Legacy Halloween Parade.  I have to say it makes me sad to think that our kids are getting this old, and I will miss sharing this tradition with the Bogh's.
Love the propeller hat and the awesome glasses.  But not as much as I love the boy wearing them.
Mallory Taylor as a "Flapper Girl"  She was darling.
I have to say that Jakes "Napolean Dynamite costume was one of my favorites.  Mostly because he played the part so well.  I think he must watch the show alot, because he was a perfect Napolean.
Court was a ketchup bottle, and was so excited about his costume.

AF Cavemen 4th grade Football

Whittaker, #24, had a great season.  Easton enjoyed playing football this year and really enjoyed the his teammates and coaches.  He played both ways most games and enjoyed playing new positions this year.  Easton played Safety, Outside Linebacker, QB, Running Back, and Wide Receiver.
The Cavemen had a record 5-4 and barely missed the playoffs.  They improved alot from last year and are excited to improve again next year.
Easton had a great coaching staff that taught them great things about being a good sport and good young man.  Their theme this year was "Unity, Character and Discipline."
Easton played hard and really understands the football concepts.  He is a good sport and a team player.
He enjoys his teammates and has made lifelong friends.
#10 is Briggs Gregory.  We carpooled to football with him and we have enjoyed getting to know their family better.  I babysat Brigg's mom. (Nothing like aging myself)
The Cavemen had amazing football weather this year.  I don't think I wore a coat once to any games.  I love Utah fall weather.
This is one of Easton's touchdowns for the year.
It was fun to watch Easton play on a full size field.  They played the Bruins at MVHS Stadium, my alma mater.  Easton was very excited to play there, especially in the stadium or "the Bowl" as he calls it.
Easton was supported by his fans!
Great job Cavemen on a great year!  We have loved watching you grow and play good football.  We look forward to next year!

Wyatt's protector

I get to tend my grandson Wyatt, twice a week.  Wyatt has a special protector when we have him at the house.  On many an occasion, I find my poma-poo Wesley hanging out close to baby Wyatt.  Wesley loves him, and tries as often as he can to give Wyatt kisses.
However, Wesley feels neglected a lot of the time that Wyatt is here, but never does he take it out on Wyatt.  These 2 will be forever friends and Wesley will be his forever protector.  Love them both!

Jensen and Emma go to Sadie's!

Sadie Hawkins Dance is alive and well.  Seems like just yesterday I was going to the Sadie's dance.  Emma West asked Jensen to go to the dance. He was so thrilled to be asked, and not only was he asked but he was asked the day after the last dance.  Big confidence booster to any young man.  Emma and Jensen have been friends since 7th grade.  These 2 have a great group of friends that do a lot together.
The theme was "Carnival".  I was proud of Jensen for dressing up and for wearing his hair 80's style.  He even made sure his Dad was home to make sure that it was combed just like Boomer's was in the day.  Jensen had a great time, enjoyed dinner at Pizza Factory and even went to the "Castle of Chaos" after.  He was a trooper, because Haunted Houses are not our favorite.

Sister Whittaker at the MTC

Life at the MTC has been anything but not boring for Sister Whittaker.  She has truly grown in the 4 weeks that she has been there.  She has made many lasting relationships and has grown to love her Savior and the gospel even more than she already did.  These are the sisters in her district, and her companion is Sister Farnsworth(both she and Sister Whitt are in the center)
These are the Elders in her District and she has said that she has grown to love these immature 19 year olds! Hahaha!  She enjoyed learning and growing with them.
Another of the Sisters.....
Since missionaries aren't supposed to chew gum, Boomer sent Jordy some of his trademark "Mentos".  He was so excited to send them to her, and she just wanted to share with him that she loved them.
She has grown to love her companion Sister Farnsworth and we were excited that they would both be going to Omaha, together to serve at Winter Quarters. They will truly be forever friends.
