Time for the Rodeo
Thought this was such a cute picture, of a very cute couple. They went to the Lehi Rodeo and were all "Duded Up" in their cowboy apparel. However, we told Logan he looked more like a farmer in his overalls. I was glad he had a shirt under, because he threatened that he was going shirtless.

Summer Buzz's
Time for the summer haircuts, as the boys complained that it was too hot. Jensen was trying to convince Easton that he wanted a "Buzz". Finally Easton succumbed and said that he wanted a "Buzz". I got him in the chair and a cutting cape around his neck and he still seemed rather excited about his new haircut. I got the clippers and took the first swoop and Easton said "Mom, what is a buzz anyway, you are shaving my head." Jensen was then recquired to get his officail "Buzz" as well. Gotta love summer, and as my Grandma Hawke used to say "There's only 2 weeks between a good and bad haircut."

A Heritage Tours Homecoming!
This is the greatest sight in the whole world to a mother who has been without her child for 3 weeks. The greatest testimony that money can buy! Seeing the big red bus means that Logan is coming home after one of the greatest experiences of his life. Leaving a boy and coming home a man! He saw the places that Joseph Smith lived and dies. Learned the experiences of the Restoration and visited the Sacred Grove. Logan was able to participate and give his first blessing on the tour and his first being at the Susquehannah River where the priesthood was restored. He learned to lead, being the Family Father to his group, or family as they are called. I am so proud of Logan and the Man he has become! As he participated in the 40/40's, he was able to study and read the Book of Mormon, cover to cover! What a great preparation for his mission and the rest of his life. We are truly blessed and through our experiences our testimony grows and so does our love for our Savior.

Cool Story
Heritage Tours has always spent one day in Washington DC. This year "for some strange reason" the organizers decided that this was one activity and place that they would delete from the tour. Logan was bummed that they wouldn't be able to go there, but we had been there as a family so at least he has already been able to see the great sites in DC.
After the recent happenings at the Holocaust Museum, where an 88 year old man went on a rampage and shot many people and killed a security guard, we were extremely grateful that "for some strange reason" Heritage Tours decided to for go going to DC. The day that the rampage happened in Washington DC, was the same day that our boys on Heritage Tours were supposed to be there.
I am grateful for small blessings, and even though we don't understand why things happen, things always happens for a reason whether we know the reason or not. I know Heavenly Father watches out for all of us, especially his obedient servants.

Logan heads out on Heritage Tours!!
Logan is about to embark on one of the greatest adventures of his life. As the counselor in our Stake President said "It's the greatest testimony that money can buy." I am so excited for Logan to experience the places in early Church History, to walk where Joseph Smith walked and to feel of his spirit. From Martin's Cove to Palmyra, New York to Sharon, Vermont and Nauvoo, Heritage tours does it all and they learn all about Joseph Smith and early Church organization. Can't wait to hear his testimony and see all the places that he visited.
Logan's family away from home.....and Logan is the father
