Logan becomes an ELDER

On Sunday, our first son was ordained an Elder. We keep hitting all these milestones and it's starting to freak me out a little bit. Mission is coming faster than I would like it to at this point. Boomer did an amazing job on his ordination and gave him a fantastic blessing. I am so blessed to have 3 priesthood holders in my family, and they all honor their priesthood to the best of their abilities. I don't know what I would do without the priesthood in my life and am so grateful that I too can "hold" the priesthood every night.......when I hug my 3 priesthood holders good night. hahaha!

Cavemen Class of 2009!!!

I can't believe that my baby boy is graduated from High School. Seems like only yesterday that he graduated from Ms. Cheri's Cherbear's preschool. We are so proud of him and the young man that he has become. Even through the pheasant incident and the other trouble he caused throughout his high school years, he has made his parents extremely proud. He is a very caring young man that loves his family, friends, and his Heavenly Father. We look forward to watching him as he goes to BYU, and prepares to serve his Heavenly FAther on a mission next year. He has always been a boy with goals and has always been very determined to succeed. Logan, you have gone above and beyond and your parents love you and are very proud of who you are!

Colt League Baseball lives on....for just a bit longer!

Logan has played Colt League baseball since he was 15 years old. It has probably been the funnest 4 years of his baseball career. He LOVES the game, and his Mom LOVES watching him play the game. It makes me very sad to think that this will be the last year that he will play competetive baseball. It brings me great joy to watch Logan play a sport that brings him such happiness! He is truly a great player, physically, mentally, and emotionally. He is a true SPORT, and makes us proud as he plays with such heart. He will be on a mission before next summer, but I will bet money that he and his buddies will play together after they get home!!

Memorial Day Boating Tradition!! Even if it's COLD!

Even though is was bit chilly, it is always good to get back out on the boat. Boomer and I have always said that it has been our best investment. Our kids are different when we are all together on the water. They cheer for each other, compliment each other, help each other, and hug each other alot more in the tight space of the boat. It has brought our family closer together and I think it will keep our family together!!

Can you hear her giggle?
Dad trusted him to drive the boat alone.....Yikes!
Mandy and Logan, after Boomer launched Mandy into a backflip from the tube! Every year he says he is going to be a calm driver, and every year he drives crazier and cackles louder!

Memorial Day!!

The Sunday before Memorial day we went with my parents to visit the gravesites of our dear family. We traditionally take pictures at each of the sites and look back to see how much the kids have grown. We unfortunately weren't able to visit Boom's parents grave this year due to our graduation activities. We know that they know we love them, especially because there isn't a day that goes by that we don't think of them and all the great things we learned and shared because of them.

Two games in one!

Easton plays on the Rookie league (Machine Pitch) Devil Rays team. He actually is too young to be "legal" to play, but because he is close enough and has "skills", they let him play. Coach pitch or T-ball would have been painful for both Easton and his mother. Easton, being the youngest, has learned to play well by himself. He plays imaginary games of baseball out in the front yard. Jensen did this as well. He comes in and tells me that the Red Sox beat the Cardinals and he is the only player. Fun to watch!! hahaha! Today at Easton's ball game, I had to keep asking him to focus on this game and not the imaginary one he was plaing by himself. Let's just say, Easton is very talented, He can play 2 games in one!!

Can you decide which picture is he playing the real game or the imaginary one?

After the Opening of the call, Pool Party!!

After Chase opened his mission call, we had a BBQ and Pool party. It was a fun way to start off the summer and enjoy being together as a family. It was nice to relax as well. Thanks Todd and Ann for having a party!! Easton is a fish and is the first one in the pool and the last one out. The cousins had a blast spending the entire evening in the pool. They were raisins when they got out.

Chase's Mission call

Thursday morning, we got a call from Annie saying "It's Here!!" Annie invited us all over to be at their house when Chase opened the awaited mission call. It is such an exciting time, to find out what the Lord has in store for his missionaries and where he intends for them to serve. Chase will be serving in the Florida, Orlando Spanish speaking Mission. He will enter the MTC in Provo on August 19, 2009!! We are so proud of you Chase and are grateful for your example to serve. There is nothing greater than the Lord's missionaries.
