Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Easton and his friend Jake had their Thanksgiving feast today and came home looking like festive Indians! I am so thankful for so much this year and appreciate our good friends and family! We have had many trials that could have been tragedies, and have been miracles! I know that Heavenly Father is so mindful of each of us and that he blesses us in more ways than we can imagine! I am thankful for miracles in my life and in the lives of those we love. I am thankful for all the material things that makes life a pleasure and a joy. I am thankful for children that strive to do what's right and bring joy to me and many others. I have often told myself that I am undeserving of such awesome faithful spirits, but so grateful that Heavenly Father has entrusted them to me to be their mother. I wish you all much happiness and joy throughout the holidays and want you to know that we love you!

Cougar Pre-game Activities!

We have been so blessed this Fall with what is called an "Indian Summer". The weather has been unbelievably warmer than normal for this time of year. The boys and I raked leaves prior to the "BYU and Utah" game. They had a blast jumping in the leaves and making a bigger mess of the leaves. It made me remember the many times I raked leaves with my grandma and great grandma and jumped in the huge piles. Hopefully we made a few memories today as we enjoyed trying to work a little bit together. And by the way, for the Coug's we are still loyal fans and there is always next year! Go Cougars!

Fall Swimming Invitational Meets!

November has been a busy month for AFHS Swimming. On November 14 and 15, the Cavemen competed in the Utah County Invitational against high schools from Utah County. The Cavemen took 1st Overall and had an awesome meet. Logan swam the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle. He beat his personal best in the 100, with a time of 59.47, finally breaking the 1:00 barrier. On November 21 and 22, the Cavemen competed in the Viewmont Thanksgiving Invitational in Bountiful. The AFHS Boys team took 3rd Overall and the Girls team took 2nd. Teammate McKay King was awarded the Best Overall Swimmer of the meet! Go McKay! Logan swam the 50 freestyle, the 100 freestyle, the 400 relay, and the 200 Relay. He swam the 50 and his leg of the 200 in 26 seconds, and the 100 in a 57, which is a NEW personal best. Way to go Logan!!

Jensen receives his 1st class in Scouts

On November 18, Jensen received his 1st class in Scouting. He has 12 merit badges and needs only 9 more to receive his Eagle. He is on track to receive his Eagle before he turns 14 and has set a goal for himself to have it by then. His Dad received the Mother's pin, which made him a little embarrassed, but he will live. His Mom promises to be there next time to save him a little embarrassment.

American Fork High's Preference Dance

The Fall Girls Choice Formal Dance is tonight! What a great looking couple! Logan was asked by Mandy West a Junior at American Fork High School. She puts the twinkle in his eye, and he puts the skip in her step. Logan was tolerating the picture taking parent, but I insisted! They were going to Ruby River for dinner and then to the dance at the Provo Court House. Can't believe I have a son that's a Senior. Where has the time gone? We are so proud!

BYU Cougar Fans Forever!

Boomer and I have had the same BYU tickets since we have been married. Thanks to Boom's Mom! We have been loyal fans for almost 23 years. It used to be that Boomer and I would get a babysitter for the kids so we could have a date. We have blessed our 5 kids with the same love for BYU Football that we have had all these years. Yes, we now share the tickets with the kids and have had to purchase 2 more to satisfy everyone's Cougar Football appetite. The last home game of the season was today, and it is always a sad day when we have to wait until next year to watch Cougar Footbal in Lavell Edwards Stadium! GO COUGARS!!

Great Weather for Finishing Honey Do's!

Why is it that our "honey do lists" get longer instead of shorter? There isn't ever enough time in the day, the season, or the year to get done all the things that we want to. Maybe it's that there isn't ever enough money to do all the projects we want to. After American Fork winds blew down our fence 2 1/2 years ago, we are finally finding enough time, energy and money to complete the project. Now let's just hope that the weather lasts so we can complete it without freezing to death. Boomer worked so hard today to get as much done as possible, but then we didn't have enough daylight. Never satisfied are we!

Happy Halloween!

After school parties, everyone is excited about Halloween. Easton made it around the block and he had had enough of Trick or Treating. Jensen, the Cheerleader, went to a fun party with friends. One of our neighbors couldn't believe that we actually let him leave the house looking this way. I guess it's okay for one night, but only because it's Halloween. The rest of the family had soup, watched Hocus Pocus, and manned to door to give out goodies to our friends and neighbors. We hope your Halloween was "Spooktacular!" Easton just before "Trick or Treating"

Legacy Elementary's Halloween Parade

Legacy Elementary, like most other elementary's, have a Halloween parade. This is so the students can show off their costumes. It is so fun to see the neighborhood kids and see the creative costumes that parents come up with. Easton was a skeleton, and was so very excited about his costume. Annual Pumpkin Carving at the Bogh's 2008

Since the kids were very little, we have carved pumpkins with my parents. It is a tradition that we all look forward to every year. My mom always makes something yummy for dinner and we carve pumpkins together while we visit and enjoy being together. We savor these times of being together because we don't have many opportunities because of schedules and busy lives. We are so grateful that we were able to have my Dad with us and have found that we take those things that are special to us for granted. Gege always has a test the finished product so we are ready on Halloween!
