Since the kids were very little, we have carved pumpkins with my parents. It is a tradition that we all look forward to every year. My mom always makes something yummy for dinner and we carve pumpkins together while we visit and enjoy being together. We savor these times of being together because we don't have many opportunities because of schedules and busy lives. We are so grateful that we were able to have my Dad with us and have found that we take those things that are special to us for granted.
